IntroTeach/Cyfle Dysgu was founded in 2007 by Andrew Bury — a primary school teacher who believed supply teaching works best when the people arranging it have stood in front of a class themselves.
Eighteen years on, we serve schools in all 22 Welsh local authorities — bilingually, always — and every consultant on our team is a former teacher or school leader.
We have also taught and implemented teacher-wellbeing programmes for many years — including co-writing Llwydda/Thrive, the wellbeing programme for headteachers used across Wales.

Andrew has led IntroTeach/Cyfle Dysgu since founding it in July 2007, after starting out as a primary school teacher co-ordinating P.E. and ICT in Caerphilly. He founded The Introsport Trust charity in 2010, advancing young people's education through sport, and in 2017 was one of the original authors of Llwydda/Thrive, the successful wellbeing programme for headteachers.
Geoff combined sixteen years of substantive primary headship with leading inspections, then spent three years as an interim headteacher guiding schools through significant challenges. He now uses that experience of successful change management to equip and support the current and next generation of school leaders — including through the Thrive wellbeing programme.
Gethin trained at Trinity Carmarthen and was a headteacher in Carmarthenshire for over a decade, growing Ysgol Nantgaredig from 125 to 230 pupils through a highly successful inspection. He served as Primary Adviser for Carmarthenshire before joining IntroTeach.
Colin retired as headteacher of Roath Park Primary School in Cardiff in 2018 to join IntroTeach. His forty-year career spans secondary PE and English in London and primary teaching and leadership in Wales, with continuous service as a school governor throughout.
Annie was Regional Officer for Wales for the NAHT for 24 years and previously acting chief executive of NICIE, the integrated education sector in Northern Ireland. Lead author of the Anti-Bias Curriculum, she has represented education at European level and specialises in safeguarding, HR and casework.
Julian began teaching in 1975 in Carmarthenshire primary schools and joined IntroTeach in November 2007. He has served on the executive committee of NAHT Cymru since 1990 and chairs its Welsh-medium sector committee.
Chris has worked in primary education since 1994, including eight years as a deputy headteacher and four in headship. Through CP Creative Music he promotes creative learning via music and ICT, working with Tŷ Cerdd, Welsh National Opera and others.
Rhiannon is the Welsh Government's external subject expert for Welsh first language at Key Stages 2–5 and has worked across Wales as a deputy head, advisory teacher, university lecturer and independent consultant in all aspects of literacy.
Roy held headships at Pwll CP School and Ysgol Gymraeg Teilo Sant, and served Carmarthenshire as a Challenge Advisor and executive headteacher leading two primary schools at once.
