IntroTeach Independent Investigation Service
IntroTeach now offers a comprehensive Independent Investigation Service to schools in Wales.
Where a child or young person has or may have suffered harm whilst at school or engaged on school arranged events outside of school premises, an independent investigation under safeguarding requirements in Wales will usually be required where teachers and teaching assistants are involved and work at the school under a contract of employment.
IntroTeach can also undertake independent investigations as required in circumstances where there is not a contract of employment with a specific school.
Independent Investigations for other reasons such as more general disciplinary allegations or complaints are often also required by schools, local authorities or other educational and work related organisations and IntroTeach also offers this service.

Independent Investigations need to be conducted in a timely and professional manner as well as in compliance with statutory requirements and school or organisational policy.
Our investigators are experienced consultants who have relevant skills and qualifications.
Investigations are carried out in compliance with statutory requirements in Wales and reports are written in accordance with the framework set out in Welsh Government statutory guidance where they concern teaching staff.
In all other circumstances, investigations are conducted in accordance with organisational policy and practice and with statutory requirements.

Annie Hovey is one of our independent consultants and she has extensive experience, skills and qualifications related to investigations in schools across Wales.
As well her professional background Annie also has significant experience as a governor, chair of governors and chair of both staff and pupil disciplinary committees.
Annie can also provide specialist training for professional staff and governors on all matters to do with carrying out and reporting high quality independent investigations in schools and elsewhere, across Wales.
