Swyddi Cyflenwi – Ar Gyfer Ysgolion

Swyddi Cyflenwi Addysgu Cymraeg a Saesneg

At CyfleDysgu we have the capability and capacity to provide a high quality service for the provision of Supply Teachers and support staff in a wide variety of school contexts including Welsh and English medium in both rural and urban settings.

All requests from our schools are made either by: telephone, email or letter. We work with our schools to agree their preferred ordering methods and for the purposes of consistency we will introduce a Customer Worker Request Form and a Worker Checklist as required. We always acknowledge receipt of all requests which are recorded in our electronic system.

We ensure that all our staff are suitable to the particular role at our schools prior to commencement of duty. We liaise with our schools to ensure that the performance of our staff is meeting or exceeding expectations and where relevant we offer professional learning opportunities and support to our staff.

Invoices are sent to schools using our electronic payment system. Our staff are instructed to contact us as early as possible in the rare event that they cannot attend the school through for example illness. In this circumstance we identify another available suitable candidate from our database, confirm their availability and liaise with the school to fill the role at short notice.

Our Consultants visit schools regularly and observe our staff on the request of our staff or the school.

Our Consultants carry out a face to face interview with potential staff prior to commencement at a school in accordance with the Staffing of Maintained Schools (Wales) Regulations 2006, the Teacher Qualifications (Wales) Regulations 2012 and the specified work requirements contained in the Education Workforce Council (Main Functions)(Wales) Regulations 2015.

Face to face background checks are carried out on all our staff to establish and verify their identity and credentials. Our process includes the following checks:

  • At least 2 relevant references, including 1 from the immediate past employer
  • Evidence of identity, proof of address, eligibility to work and remain legally within the UK in accordance with UK Border and Immigrations guidelines
  • Check that qualifications and training recorded are true and accurate. In the case of Supply Teachers, checks are made to confirm the candidate holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Evidence of NQT status
  • Health questionnaire is completed with further medical information being requested from the candidate if applicable
  • Relevant registration documents such as the Professional Learning Passport
  • DBS, Safeguarding and Compliance Checks relevant to the role, including confirmation the Applicant has subscribed to the DBS Update Service
  • Overseas criminal record checks where the worker has lived or worked outside of the UK for a period of six months or more
  • The proposed Supply Teacher holds valid Education Workforce Council (EWC) Professional Registration in the appropriate registration category
  • Driving Licence Checks

We ensure our staff are provided with relevant information and expectations by issuing a ‘Supply Teachers Guide’ which contains information such as the contact details of key people within the school, an outline of the daily routine required of the supply worker and their expectations of the worker as well as other basic information such as child protection issues.
